CYSC COVID-19 PROTOCOL
2021-22 Season
2021-22 Season
Updated September 2, 2021
CYSC is focused on providing players, coaches, and trainers with a safe and constructive environment to enhance their soccer experience this summer and beyond for the 2021-22 season.
We are requiring families to self-monitor similar to last season. While the below criteria may be subject to change based on additional guidance from the Department of Health, the league or our schools’ requirements for use of their fields, each player or attendee before entering town or school fields should have a no response to all the following questions:
* Please note - if an unvaccinated player or attendee is awaiting the results of a COVID test taken not because of an exposure or symptoms, but rather for other clearance-related reasons (e.g., eligibility for travel or to attend an event or program), he/she is not precluded from attending soccer.
As the school year starts, please note that if your child could not attend school that day due to the school’s COVID check, he/she cannot attend soccer.
Masks are not required to be worn by participants or spectators at our fields. Masking is optional; however, if a player chooses to wear a mask, it must be a mask rather than a gaiter. For away games, teams and spectators will observe the rules put in place by the home team.
When not involved in active play or practice, players should socially distance where possible.
Trainers have been trained to verify that all players that attend practice confirm that they were fit for school that day. If it is a Saturday or Sunday, the trainers will verify if the players meet the Covid-19 related health screen guidelines. If in the event during practice or a contest a player develops any of the symptoms listed below they will isolate the player and contact the child’s parents so that they can come and remove the player form the field. This is standard practice for our trainers if a player is injured but will now include the Covid-19 symptom screen checklist.
Players, players’ parents, and coaches/managers are expected to report to their coaches, team managers or board representative any instance where they or a family member are confirmed COVID-19 symptoms or where they have been in close contact with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19.
In the event a trainer, parent coach or parent of a player learns of a confirmed case of COVID-19, CYSC has the following plan in place to report the confirmed COVID-19 case to the WDOH:

In the event a trainer, parent coach or parent of a player learns of a confirmed case of COVID-19, CYSC has the following plan in place to report the confirmed COVID-19 case to the WDOH:
- Trainers will take attendance at each practice and game which will be tracked by CYSC.
- CYSC will maintain a excel spreadsheet to track attendance for the entire season. The spreadsheet will include contact information for each player along with the school they attend in the District.
- Upon notification of a positive COVID-19 CYSC will complete and submit the WDOH reporting sheet to the WDOH utilizing the reporting information below:
- [email protected]
- 914-813-5110 (weekday hours)
- 914-813-5000 (evening and weekend hours).
- CYSC will contact Christine Ackerman ([email protected]) by email to notify her of the positive COVID-19 case and send her the excel spreadsheet.
