I. Coach, Trainer and Manager Code of Conduct
It is the responsibility of each coach, trainer and manager to pledge to abide by this Code of Conduct:

- I realize and acknowledge that the purpose and goal of the CYSC is to promote the physical, mental, moral, social and emotional well-being of the individual players and that youth sports are played for fun.
- I will be a role model for the players by: (1) demonstrating good sportsmanship regardless of the score, (2) acting in an ethical and respectful manner towards all players, officials, parents and coaches, (3) being generous with my praise and (4) setting a good example for the players.
- I will remember that children play for fun and enjoyment and I will always place the emotional and physical well-being of players ahead of any personal desire to win. I will be a source of encouragement to all players and never ridicule or yell at children.
- I will show cordial courtesy to visiting teams and officials and will respect the property of communities that I am visiting and the integrity and judgment of the referee.
- I will achieve a thorough understanding and acceptance of the rules of the game, the CYSC and the soccer organizations the CYSC is affiliated with.
- I will show respect for all players, coaches, fans and officials regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
- I will not use drugs, tobacco or alcohol at any practices or games.
- I will treat each player as an individual, remembering there may be a large spread of physical and emotional development of members of the same team.
- I agree to use email, social networking and other forms of electronic communication in an ethical and responsible manner. I also agree to communicate any team or player issues, criticisms, complaints or grievances to the age group coordinator or the CYSC board and will not share such issues, criticisms, complaints and grievances with any parents or players.
- While coaching a CYSC team, I will not coach another youth soccer team without the permission of the CYSC board. This does not apply to other town sanctioned CYSC or Chappaqua AYSO teams.
- I will make a commitment to educate myself on positive coaching principles and the principles of growth and development of children.
- I understand that failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct will subject me and possibly my child to club disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion.
- I will abide by all CYSC rules and policies and to act in the best interest of each of the players on my (my child’s) team. I understand that I represent CYSC on game day and I will behave in an appropriate sportsmanlike manner. I have read all of the rules related to the CYSC Code of Conduct.
II. Parent and Player Code of Conduct

- My child will come to all practices, training sessions and games prepared to play, ready to listen and equipped with appropriate uniform (for practices and games).
- My child will make every effort to attend all practices and games and to focus on becoming a better player.
- I will be a role model for the players by: (1) demonstrating good sportsmanship regardless of the score, (2) acting in an ethical and respectful manner towards all players, officials, parents and coaches, and (3) setting a good example for the players.

- I understand that any team I am placed on could have Sunday games or Saturday games, and that the game day schedule could differ in the Fall vs the Spring.
- I understand that any team I am placed on could have praces on any weekday or weekend day and that the practice schedule could differ in the Fall vs the Spring.
