Parent coaches & managers: these are the steps you’ll follow each week so that you have for each game 2 printouts - the Match Card and Coach IDs

1)  Print Match Card Prior to Each Game
  • Log into Got Sport
  • Go to Team Management
  • Go to Matches
  • In Event dropdown, select WYSL Fall Sked 2023 (toward end of list).  You should then see your games listed.
  • Scroll to right and you will see 3 dots.  Click on 3 dots, select Print Match Card. In the popup, select Photo.
  • The Match Card should list the particular game, the players and coaches, and contain thumbnail images of all players. It also has a QR code in the upper corner to report the game's score.
  • Print the Match Card in color to bring to the game.

2)  Print ID Cards for Coaches (one time at beginning of season)
Coaches are supposed to carry their own printed pass with their picture
  • Go to Team Management.
  • Click on your team.
  • Click on Rosters and in the dropdown, select WYSL/ENYYSA  Team Registration and Rosters, then click Search.
  • Click on Documents/IDs.
  • Click on ID cards and print.
  • Cards for the entire roster will appear, but the coaches will only need their own ID cards (you can print and cut along the dashed perforation) that they carry all season.
Using Chat to Confirm Games
Mid-week every week, you should reach out to the other team to confirm the game and your uniform colors.  Switch your team to the other uniform if it makes sense (if the other team wears black, don't wear navy blue).  Under WYSL rules, the home team is supposed to switch where there is a conflict; however either team can switch.
  • In Got Sport, go to Team Management.
  • Go to Matches. Under the Event dropdown, select WYSL Fall Sked 2023 (toward end of list).
  • Scroll to right and click on the chat icon next to the game you want to confirm.
  • That will bring up the listed contacts for that opposing team with their relevant emails and cell phone numbers, as well as a text box to send everyone listed a message. (Note: if nobody is listed there for the team, then the message will not be received by anyone and you should reach out to the league or ask a CYSC board member for help).
  • Use that feature to chat with the opposing team's manager/coaches to confirm the game, uniform colors, give or receive any relevant information about parking or field location (i.e., Amsterdam Field 1 will be on your right as you enter the park).  You will get an email notification when anyone person responds.
  • When you are confirming game details for home games on any of our school fields, please indicate that dogs are not permitted anywhere on school property (and remind your own team, too). (For town fields, dogs can be on the park property, but not on the field itself).
Borrowing Players:
As the season goes on, you may have some games where you cannot field a full team due to player conflicts or injuries, or you may have just enough players for a team but would like a couple of subs.  Teams are permitted to "borrow" players from other CYSC teams, subject to the following rules:
  • U9-U11:  you can borrow players from another team in your age group, regardless of the division the team plays in.
  • U12-U14:  you can borrow players from another team in your same age group if that team is in a LOWER division, and you may borrow players from any team in the age group below your team.
  • Each team can borrow up to 3 players each week, so long as you do not exceed the roster limit for your age group (14 players for U9-U10, 16 players for U11-U12, 18 players for U13-U14).  If you go above this limit, then you need to remove the players that are not attending that week from your home or away game day roster so that you stay within the limit.
  • A player can only play as a borrowed player for another team 3 times during the season (3 in the fall, 3 in the spring).

How to Add Borrowed Players:
  1. Let CYSC's registrar know by the THURSDAY prior to the game who your team is borrowing, as it needs to be reported to and approved by the WYSL each Friday.
  2. Once the league processes the list of subs, the borrowed player(s) should appear as options to be added to your home or away roster for that particular game.  Then when you download the match card, the borrowed player(s) will be highlighted.
  3. Note: the league won't process sub requests after close of business Friday, and refs are not allowed to let a player on the field who doesn't appear on the match card.
