Parent coaches & managers: these are the steps you’ll follow each week so that you have for each game 2 printouts - the Match Card and Coach IDs

1)  Set Home or Away Game Day Roster Prior to Each Game
  • Log into Got Sport
  • Go to Team Management
  • Go to Matches
  • In Event dropdown, select WYSL Spring Sked 2023 (it should be the last event in the list).  You should then see your games listed.
  • Scroll to right and you will see 3 dots.  Click on 3 dots, select Home Day Match Roster or Away Day Match Roster.
  • All your players with their pictures should come up.  Select all the players on your team and any borrowed subs that will be playing in the match.  Then click Add to Match Day Roster.
Note: a player who is absent one week does not need to be removed from the game roster.  You may leave all your team's usual players on the game roster, so long as that plus any subs you might be using for that week don't exceed the total number of players allowed on the game roster (14 food U9/U10, 16 for U11/U12, 18 for U13/U14).

2)  Print Match Card Prior to Each Game
  • Once you've completed Step 1 above, it will result in an "Attending" list of players.  Toward the top right of that screen, there is a button titled "Photo Match Card" that you can click and then print.  It should have a QR code in the upper right corner, contain pics of the kids, and list the coaches and players.
OR:
  • Go back to the 3 dots, and select Print Match Card
  • In the popup for game sheet, select Photo
  • Click Export and print the match card - it should have a QR code in the upper right corner, contain pics of the kids, and list the coaches and players.

3)  Print ID Cards for Coaches
Since the coaches' pictures do not appear on the game day roster, they will need their own printed pass with their picture
  • Go to Team Management.
  • Click on your team.
  • Click on Rosters and in the dropdown, select Westchester Youth Soccer League 2021-22 US Club….then click Search.
  • Click on Documents/IDs.
  • Click on ID cards and print.
  • Cards for the entire roster will appear, but only the coaches will need the ID cards.
  • As long as the coaches have their ID cards on them for games, you do not need to print new ones each week.
Using Chat to Confirm Games
Several days before your game, you should reach out to the other team to confirm the game and your uniform colors.  Switch your team to the other uniform if it makes sense (if the other team wears black, don't wear dark blue).  Under WYSL rules, the home team is supposed to switch where there is a conflict; however in practice, most teams with 2 uniforms will honor the home team's uniform choice.
  • In Got Sport, go to Team Management.
  • Go to Matches. Under the Event dropdown, select WYSL Spring Sked 2023 (should be the last one in the list).
  • Scroll to right and you'll see a chat icon next to each game.
  • Use that feature to chat with the the opposing team's manager and coaches.  You will get an email notification when that person responds.
  • When you are confirming game details for home games on any of our school fields, please indicate that dogs are not permitted anywhere on school property (and remind your own team, too).
Borrowing Players:
As the season goes on, you may have some games where you cannot field a full team due to player conflicts or injuries, or you may have just enough players for a team but would like a couple of subs.  Teams are permitted to "borrow" players from other CYSC teams, subject to the following rules:
  • U9-U11:  you can borrow players from another team in your age group, regardless of the division the team plays in.
  • U12-U14:  you can borrow players from another team in your same age group if that team is in a LOWER division, and you may borrow players from any team in the age group below your team.
  • Each team can borrow up to 3 players each week, so long as you do not exceed the roster limit for your age group (14 players for U9-U10, 16 players for U11-U12, 18 players for U13-U14).  If you go above this limit, then you need to remove the players that are not attending that week from your home or away game day roster so that you stay within the limit.
  • A player can only play as a borrowed player for another team 3 times during the season.

How to Add Borrowed Players:
  1. On the same screen where you create your home or away game day roster, you can click on the button to "Add a Club Pass Player."  Make sure the borrowed players appear with a photo on your match card before you print it out.
  2. Let Stacey Reynolds know who your team is borrowing, as it needs to be reported to the WYSL each week.
